👋 Hi, I’m Amanda
I’m an Asian-American ceramicist and designer based in Seattle, WA. I was born and raised in central Massachusetts and grew up immersed in Boston’s cultural neighborhoods, with core memories that continue to shape my sense of community, identity and place.
I discovered ceramics in 2018 and found clay to be a grounding practice during the pandemic. After moving to Seattle to pursue climate work, I deepened my craft at the city’s first pottery studio in Chinatown, where I found both artistic inspiration and a sense of home.
I create functional ceramics that blend themes of nature and cultural identity. Drawing inspiration from rugged mountains, the vibrant Pacific Northwest forests, and the fluidity of the ocean, my work carries an organic style, often incorporating carved elements to highlight movement and texture.
My ceramics are available through local shops and art markets, including a dedicated table at Seattle’s plant shop Fancy Plants and an ongoing display at Little Saigon Creative, Seattle’s Vietnamese community center.
